Crew Lead — Solar Cleaning

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Crew Lead to oversee residential and commercial solar panel cleaning projects. As a Crew Lead, you will be responsible for managing a small crew, ensuring safety protocols are followed, maintaining high-quality service standards, and providing excellent customer experiences. This role is ideal for individuals with field service or trades experience who are ready to take on leadership responsibilities in a growing industry.

Schedule: Monday–Saturday, early morning start; occasional evenings as needed

Pay: $24–$30 per hour DOE + mileage reimbursement + performance bonus

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan daily job routes and review the work schedule with the team.
  • Lead on-site safety briefings (tailgate meetings) and assign tasks to crew members.
  • Oversee all cleaning operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Inspect and verify completed jobs with before/after photos and detailed service reports.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns.
  • Communicate with operations/dispatch regarding schedule changes, delays, or site conditions.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to technicians to support skill development and career growth.
  • Assist with hands-on cleaning when needed to keep projects on schedule.
  • Maintain accountability for equipment care, vehicle organization, and compliance with safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in field service, construction, roofing, window cleaning, or a similar trade.
  • Comfortable working at heights on single- and multi-story rooftops; proficiency with ladders, harnesses, and fall-protection systems.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct a small team.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality service.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Customer-focused with a professional demeanor.
  • Prior supervisory or crew lead experience is strongly preferred.
