Solar Panel Cleaning Technician (Residential)

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Solar Panel Cleaning Technician to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining the performance and longevity of residential solar panel systems by performing safe and effective cleaning services. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and enjoys working outdoors. Training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for individuals looking to enter the renewable energy field.

Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (occasional weekends required)

Pay: $18–$24 per hour DOE + mileage reimbursement

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform safe and effective cleaning of residential solar arrays using DI (deionized) water systems and soft-bristle brushes.
  • Follow all ladder safety, roof safety, and fall-protection procedures when accessing and working on rooftops.
  • Inspect panels for debris, shading issues, or potential damage while cleaning.
  • Document each job with clear before-and-after photos and brief service notes.
  • Communicate job status with dispatch and provide ETA updates to customers when needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, professional, and respectful of client property.
  • Assist with equipment upkeep, vehicle organization, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working on single- and two-story rooftops; must be able to carry and set up ladders safely.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Safety-first mindset; able to follow protocols and guidelines consistently.
  • Prior experience in solar, roofing, window cleaning, or related trades is a plus—but not required. Full training will be provided.
